We run a series of programs that we need funding to maintain, including: social media content, community management, a podcast show, online learning courses, help seeking resources. We also use funding to grow & extend the reach of existing programs like our pledge campaign. Plus, we want to create new and improved services that help people tell more insightful mental health stories.
Yes, in Australia. We have DGR1 status – which means you can claim the donation as a charity expense. We will send you a receipt post donation that allows you to claim your payment. Check with your local tax accountant if you are outside Australia to see if your donation is tax deductible (it should be!)
We are largely self-sustaining. Most of our funding comes from services that we sell to corporate organisations (like training programs) that allow us to operate the movement and all it’s initiatives for those who need it most. However, donations help us greatly to cover costs of running our programs.
Yes! Lead by example by getting involved. Tell your story, make the pledge, sign up to be part of one of our programs, or tell a friend about Heart On My Sleeve. Most of all, seek help when you need it and be a nice person. That’s what will help the most.
